CHKB

Annotation genes

CHKB

Annotation rationales

CHKB catalyzes phosphatidylcholine synthesis; enriched CHKB points to active plasma-membrane (PM) lipid remodeling. In naïve B cells, PM composition governs BCR nanocluster organization, membrane curvature for endocytosis, and integrin function—tuning signal initiation without altering core identity.

Functional implications

A PM-remodeling naïve subset that optimizes BCR nano-organization, endocytic pit formation, and adhesion/chemotaxis. This raises the efficiency of primary antigen uptake and early synapse formation with T cells/DCs, improving the likelihood of GC initiation under subthreshold or fleeting antigen.

Marker and functional descriptions are atlas annotations. Explore gene expression, trait associations and regulatory elements in the interactive browsers; see the browser guide.
