SYS1

Annotation rationales

SYS1 is a Golgi/TGN trafficking factor; its enrichment implies expanded secretory/endolysosomal routing capacity. In naïve B cells, this biases internalized BCR–antigen complexes toward MHC-II compartments and optimizes surface–endosome recycling kinetics without invoking a full activation program.

Functional implications

Antigen-processing–primed naïve cells that can swiftly deliver BCR cargo to MIIC for peptide loading and re-express BCR/MHC-II efficiently. Functionally, they shorten the lag to productive Tfh engagement, improving the odds of successful priming and GC seeding during weak or transient antigen exposure.
