Marker genes

ARHGAP15, CADM2, CD36, CLCN5, ID4, ISYNA1, ITGA1, ITGA7, OLFML2B, TANC1

Annotation genes

CD36, ITGA1, ITGA7, OLFML2B

Annotation rationales

Perivascular fibroblasts must anchor to elastin/collagen sheaths and sense circulating lipid cues. ITGA1/ITGA7 provide collagen/laminin binding; CD36 mediates uptake/sensing of oxidized lipids that modulate TGF-β and PPAR signaling; ISYNA1 supports inositol/lipid membrane turnover for focal adhesions. ID4 suggests a mesenchymal progenitor flavor capable of fate flexibility. OLFML2B/TANC1 connect to ECM and cytoskeletal organization.

Functional implications

Acts as an adhesion-competent, lipid-sensing stromal reservoir that remodels integrin contacts with the vascular ECM and tunes responses to lipid mediators. Likely supports vessel wall nutrition and can feed into myofibroblast or pericyte-like pools during growth/repair.
