Marker genes

EPB41L2, KCNIP1, LYVE1, MMRN1, MYH10, PDE2A, PLSCR4, PPFIBP1, RELN, SPTBN1, STON2, TFPI, TIMP2, WFS1

Annotation genes

LYVE1, MMRN1, TFPI

Annotation rationales

LYVE1 (hyaluronan receptor) and MMRN1/TFPI (matrix/hemostatic control) define capillary/initial LEC identity. Structural spectrin/actin adapters (EPB41L2/SPTBN1/MYH10) and endocytosis/scission factors (STON2/PLSCR4) support vesicular flux without activation. PDE2A/KCNIP1 fine-tune cAMP/Ca²⁺ signaling under low shear. Altogether this is a quiescent, uptake-competent LEC state.

Functional implications

Homeostatic fluid collectors that maintain low-pressure, high-compliance lymph uptake from interstitium while enforcing anticoagulant tone (TFPI) and controlled ECM contact (MMRN1). They continuously scavenge HA via LYVE1 to modulate matrix hydration and ensure smooth entry of solutes, antigens, and migratory DCs toward downstream collectors.
