Marker genes

ADAMTS9, ATP1A1, EMP1, HILPDA, NDRG1, PITPNC1, PTGDS, SELE, SELP, TM4SF1, TMTC1

Annotation genes

ADAMTS9, HILPDA, NDRG1, PTGDS, SELE, SELP

Annotation rationales

SELE/SELP mediate leukocyte rolling along sinusoids; PTGDS produces prostaglandin D₂, which modulates vascular tone and often tempers inflammation. NDRG1/HILPDA mark lipid/hypoxia stress adaptation, while ADAMTS9 contributes to ECM/matrix remodeling. Together they define a state linking vascular inflammation, lipid stress, and vasomodulation.

Functional implications

Leukocyte-rolling regulators that fine-tune adhesion and produce prostanoid mediators to modulate sinusoidal perfusion and inflammation. They simultaneously adjust to hypoxia–lipid stress, contributing to matrix remodeling and vascular tone control in injured or steatotic liver.

Marker and functional descriptions are atlas annotations. Explore gene expression, trait associations and regulatory elements in the interactive browsers; see the browser guide.
