Annotation rationales
Upregulation of a ribosomal protein (large subunit) is a sentinel of global translational ramp-up (often mTORC1-linked) rather than a fate shift. In myocytes, this supports sarcomere/mitochondrial protein renewal during growth or repair.
Functional implications
Protein-renewal boosters that expand ribosome capacity for sarcomere turnover, mitochondrial biogenesis, and ion-handling protein synthesis. They underpin physiologic hypertrophy or post-injury repair, shortening recovery time and sustaining contractile quality.
Marker and functional descriptions are atlas annotations. Explore gene expression, trait associations and regulatory elements in the interactive browsers; see the browser guide.
